Hello again friends, family, and followers,
Your lovely little adventure guide Ladson here.
Today, when Daddy got home from work, Mommy said she had been cleaning the house all day and didn't want to cook so Daddy suggested that we take a short, two minute, car ride to a Grubbery called Park Vista Restaurant
When we got there, we were seated, right away, by the lovely Table Sitter. She was so sweet to me. She asked Mommy and Daddy if we were sure we wanted to be seated at the only empty table or wait a little bit for a table that wasn't directly under the Room Cooler because she was concerned I would get too cold. Mommy and Daddy said we were OK with the empty table so she sat us there.
The Grub Server for our table came over shortly after we sat down and took Mommy and Daddy's drink orders...I would say our drink order but they didn't ask me what I wanted.
When she came back with the drinks she asked Mommy and Daddy if they wanted some Meal Starter Grub before they ordered their Meal Grub. Daddy ordered something called Fried Pickles. They were brought to the table really quickly and Daddy said they were amazing, especially when he paired them with Ashe County Cheese "Bleu Marble" Dressing.
Our Grub Server came back over after a few minutes and took our order. Daddy ordered the Hangover Cheeseburger and something called a Bloody Mary; Mommy ordered the Smothered Chicken; and, get this, Daddy actually ordered Cheese Grits and Mashed Potatoes for me.
Our Grub was brought to the table super fast. They brought mine out first so it could cool down before I ate it and Mommy and Daddy's Grub was brought to the table soon after.
Daddy said Mommy needed a break so he fed me while Mommy ate. Daddy started me out with my cheese grits and whoever said they are an acquired taste has never had the Park Vista grits. I loved them so much Daddy had to cut me off before I busted my gut.
Mommy loved her Grub so much she was just about finished with it by the time Daddy started eating his; but, once he started, he didn't put his burger down except to take a sip of that Bloody Mary thing. He said that his drink was a little on the spicy side but definitely something he'd get again.
If you are traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway through the mountains of North Carolina don't forget to stop by this Grubbery for a bite to eat...who knows you might see me there with Mommy and Daddy.
Until our next adventure,
Ladson Out.
